Welcome to Potter's Progress, a tale of adventure through South East Asia.

This site is in it's early days, so please be forgiving!

Once upon a time, explorers and backpackers had no book to guide them. They relied on stories and advice from other fellow travellers. Potter's Progress is trying to recreate those times. With your help this site can become a repository of traveller's tales. A reader will soon be able to select routes and locations and find recent tales of other travellers. A much more fun way to plan your adventure. If you have travel tales of your own please write in. Until then, why not read Potter's stories? The success of this site depends on you!

POTTER'S TALE

Having briefly visited Thailand and Cambodia the year before, he finds himself going through a mid life crisis. In Blighty he is working too much and enjoying too little. In S.E.A. he rediscovers how to smile. If a street kid from one of the poorest countries in the world knows how to smile, and Potter like many others from one of the richest do not, then his whole value system is thrown into question. A radical shake up is required. The plan is hatched. He closes his business, sells his house, says goodbye to his friends and family and heads out to South East Asia.
